I learned the fundamentals of front-end and back-end development, using JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and REST APIs. I have a passion for creating web applications that are user-friendly, functional, and responsive. One of the most exciting projects I've worked on so far is the website builder for American Legions. This project has allowed me to combine my passion for building things with my desire to give back to the community. I'm thrilled to be able to offer an easy-to-use platform that helps American Legions create and maintain their websites, ultimately enabling them to connect more effectively with their members. I am comfortable working with JavaScript, React, CSS, HTML, Python, and Flask. Although I have not worked on any software engineering teams, my experience as a restaurant manager has honed my skills in thinking on the fly and deploying creative solutions tailored to the unique needs of the day, staff, and landscape. As I continue to develop my skills as a software engineering, I hope to focus my efforts in a career where I'm challenged technically and creatively. I am particularly interested in projects that help make people's daily lives easier, especially as it applies to navigating the US healthcare system. What sets me apart from other software engineering students is my extensive experience in running high volume and upscale restaurants and cocktail bars. My people skills are top-notch, I am extremely organized, and I thrive in high-pressure environments.
